Linnsburg - Mrs. Johanna McCarty, widow of Edward McCarty, passed away Sat, June 4 at 11:30 a.m. at her home S. of here. Mrs. McCarty was 84 years of age and had been a resident of this community for 45 years. She was born in Ireland coming to the US when 14 years old. infirmities caused her death. Five children survive: John of Sheridan; Margaret McDonald of McAllister, Ok; Edward of Crawfordsville; Anna Thompson of Custer Ohio and Mrs. Burl Weaver of near New Ross. Mrs. McCarty was a devout member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville and the funeral mass will be sung there Mon. morning at 9 o'clock with Rev. William D. Sullivan in charge.
